Bargain Bin Gaymers is an LGBTQ+ gaming podcast, YouTube show, and Twitch stream dedicated to affordable video games, queer representation in gaming, and the developers and communities making it all happen.
Hosted by two best friends, Davey and Mitch, from Melbourne, Australia, the show launched in 2023 with a simple but powerful idea: the gaming world was full of expensive releases and straight perspectives. Something had to change.
Why we started
Back in 2023, Davey and Mitch looked at the gaming podcast landscape and noticed two things were missing: genuinely queer voices and genuine respect for listeners' wallets.
Most gaming media were either ignoring LGBTQIA+ perspectives entirely or spending all their time covering $100 AAA releases that most people couldn't afford. Bargain Bin Gaymers was built to fix both problems at once, a show where queer gamers could hear their experiences reflected, discover incredible games without breaking the bank, and feel like the community they'd always wanted actually existed.
Three years, 45+ episodes, and a growing community of gaymers later, it turns out they weren't the only ones who'd been waiting for it.
